(London – 12 February 2013) More than 1300 of the Europe’s hospitality technology elite flocked to the first ever Hospitality Technology Expo (HTE) in London last week; with the event floor, panel discussions and supplier masterclasses all packed with buyers fresh with market optimism.

A selection of exhibitors were at Earls Court 2 representing the hospitality technology industry and showcasing some of the most advanced products and services on, and about to hit, the market place. Plenty of these exhibitors have already re-booked stands for 2014, including Vingcard Elsafe, Avenue 9 and Digital Footsteps. Founding partners Sabre, Micros and Infor are also supporting the event in 2014.

Calum McIndoe, Sales Director UK & Ireland, Infor Hospitality commented: “The event has been great for us. It’s been full of the right people and the fact that it’s just two days long means that many of those people are attending both days, rather than just one or the other. The conference programme has made a big difference over other shows and I really like the way that it’s been structured around the VIPs.”

Paul Finch, Vice President of Hospitality, Micros added: “Our stand was incredibly busy over the course of the two day event and we’ve been extremely pleased with the volume of traffic. For us, events are often an opportunity to meet with existing customers as well as to make new contacts, but the feedback I’ve had from the team here is that, for us, this event has been one of the busiest we’ve ever seen. We’re thrilled with the inaugural edition and are already looking ahead to next year”.

David Morton, Sabre Hospitality Solutions, continued: “The first day was particularly strong for us and offered a great platform to meet with both existing customers and new enquiries. It’s been extremely rewarding in terms of networking and we couldn’t be more pleased with the way the first year has gone”.

The first event of its kind in Europe, Hospitality Technology Expo, welcomed exhibitors from guest technology, revenue & distribution, property operation, infrastructure and sales and marketing sectors to meet with new prospects, catch up with existing clients, exchange business cards and seal deals with hospitality technology buyers.

Claudia Harris, event manager, Hospitality Technology Expo commented: “After all our hard work and preparation it’s hard to believe that the curtain has fallen on our first ever edition. We’re absolutely thrilled with the feedback we’ve received and there is honestly no better confirmation of a successful and productive event than the willingness of exhibitors to sign up a full 12 months in advance for our next edition, Hospitality Technology Europe 2014″.

Boasting over 35 thought-provoking learning sessions, practical case studies and interactive events, such as supplier masterclasses and industry round tables, Hospitality Technology Expo was established to provide the industry with a relevant forum in which to share best practice, enhance guest experience, and improve business efficiency and revenues.
